Black light art and blacklight photography by Beo. A different dimension of creativity with UV lighting and fluorescent materials which glow in the dark. Beo uses unconventional techniques and materials for a wide range of visual creations: From UV paintings to costume design and performances with ultraviolet lighting. The artist Beo designs costumes and accessories with fluorescent materials for his performances. They are handmade and unique one-offs, not produced in series. Up to now the costumes have been used as stage clothing for black light art performances as well as for blacklight photography work. Co-operating with different actors he created several video recordings of uv perfomances. His blacklight photography work is created in the studio or on exhibitions and events. The blacklight photography are very dynamic compositions, with high contrast and color saturation, and have been published in different medias. Mainly fluorescent plastics or paint and ultraviolet lighting are used. These UV active materials have incomparable variation of color and form.
